KOCHI: The Customs will question Speaker P Sriramakrishnan's additional private secretary K Ayyappan in connection with the dollar smuggling case. Ayyappan has been directed to appear at the customs office in Kochi at 11 am tomorrow..

Swapna and Sarith, the accused in the gold smuggling case, told customs that the speaker had asked them to take the bag containing the dollars to the consulate. Following this, the Customs directed the additional private secretary to appear for questioning.

The statements of the two accused to the magistrate and Customs contain serious allegations against the Speaker. The Customs is planning is to issue a notice next week and summon the Speaker to Kochi.
