gail-pipeline

NEW DELHI: Today is an important day for Kerala and Karnataka, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After dedicating the Gail Pipeline project to the state, the Prime Minister said that this is a project that connects the two states and if efforts are taken for development, the aim is not impossible.

The gas pipeline project will be crucial in future development of both the states. The availability of environmentally friendly and cost-effective CNG gas will be an affordable fuel for various industries. Domestic gas will also be available at a cheaper rate. If CNG gas reaches everywhere through City Gas project, more vehicles will switch to CNG fuel. In any case, this project will be a great benefit to people and the industry. The Prime Minister said that by preventing the release of carbon dioxide, we will be doing a great service to nature.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the GAIL project will contribute to the development of the state. Glad to see the result of the joint venture. Laying pipes in densely populated areas was a strenuous task. The chief minister also lauded the officials and workers who worked hard to complete the GAIL pipeline project in between the floods and the transmission of COVID.

He also lauded the service of the Kerala Police for the project. The chief minister hoped that a large scale development would be possible if natural gas could be supplied to Kerala at affordable prices.

Natural gas will be supplied from Kochi to Mangalore in 450 km pipeline. After huge public protests and years of waiting, the dream project finally became a reality. The inaugural function was held online. Chief Ministers and Governors of Kerala and Karnataka attended the function.
