Kerala accounts for nearly 26% of the total active cases in the country. If the test positivity rate is around two per cent in the country, it is ten per cent in the state. This is five times more than the national average. Surendran has pointed in the letter that the number of Covid patients is increasing day by day and it is a matter of grave concern.
Out of 20 districts in India having highest number of active cases, 12 are in Kerala and that the death rate is not declining.
