Thiruvananthapuram: Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award winner and renowned Tamil writer A Madhavan (87) passed away in Thiruvananthapuram. He had written 25 short stories and novels.

The Tamil Nadu government has honored him with the prestigious Kalaimamani Award. His funeral will be held at Thycaud Shanthi Kavadam crematorium.
