KOCHI: Dhathri Ayurveda Private Limited has responded to the controversy regarding the allegations made by a consumer against Dhathri hair oil. According to the company, all of its products have undergone extensive clinical trials in labs and the results are have been registered with the Clinical Trial Registry of India (CTRI).

The company said that the current dispute is related to Dhathri's advertisement released in 2012 and a case was registered against it at the time. While claiming that it has not used the ad for years, the company added that it stands firm in its claims and has a scientific basis to prove it.


Dhathri Ayurveda said it has manufactured reliable and fully effective products under the strictest quality conditions. The company also explained that there was scientific evidence behind all the advertisements. On Monday, the consumer disputes redressal commission ordered the company and actor Anoop Menon, who endorsed the product in an advertisement, to pay compensation of Rs 10,000 each to a customer for making "false promises".
