THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam cinema's favourite actor Jagathy Sreekumar will be soon seen reprising his role as Vikram in the fifth instalment of the CBI franchise. The news about the actor's reentry into films came while he celebrated his 70th birthday with his family members at his house in Peyad.
Jagathy's 70th birthday was celebrated in a quiet manner in the wake of the COVID pandemic. Several prominent persons including actors Mammootty, Mohanlal and minister Kadakampally Surendran wished the actor.
'CBI 5', which will be directed by veteran director K Madhu, will have the actor playing a crucial role. It is learnt that writer SN Swami has designed Jagathy's character in such a way that suits the actor's current health condition. Vikram, the character played by the actor, is known for helping the protagonist Sethurama Iyer in cracking crucial cases.
