KOCHI: The bail plea of M Sivasankar in an enforcement case related to money laundering in the gold smuggling will be considered on January 11. The action was taken on the plea filed by Sivasankar mentioning that he is eligible for natural bail after his arrest. The decision was taken by the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court.

Sivasankar argued that he has no role in the smuggling and that the customs could not produce any evidence against him in this regard. He claimed that the only statement against him was that of an accused who is in custody for several months. The plea stated that this is unbelievable. Sivasankar also mentioned in the pea that he is under treatment.
