THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state chief K Surendran has tested positive for COVID-19. He was confirmed of the virus in the tests conducted in Kozhikode. He has been admitted at a private hospital in Kozhikode for observation.
Surendran returned to Kozhikode from Delhi yesterday after a meeting with central leaders. Many leaders of the state politics had contracted the virus. Ministers’ Thomas Isaac, E P Jayarajan, V S Sunil Kumar, M M Mani and opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had also contracted the disease. Minister A K Balan was confirmed of the virus yesterday. D K Murali MLA also tested positive of the virus.
