NEW DELHI: The central team will arrive in Kerala tomorrow to study the COVID situation in the state where the disease is spreading. The team of experts will visit two districts in the state. The central team will visit Kottayam tomorrow and Alappuzha the next day. The team will meet Health Minister KK Shailaja on Monday.

Meanwhile, the central government has directed the states, including Kerala, to take immediate action against the spread of COVID. The Union Health Ministry has also sent letters to four states - Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.


The central government's new directive to the states comes as the procedures for the distribution of the COVID vaccine are in progress. The process of shifting the vaccine to more than forty stores across the country has already begun.
