THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P C George MLA boycotted the assembly proceedings along with the opposition in the midst of Governor’s customary policy address. The opposition protested against the speaker by shouting slogans and holding placards from the time the governor started his address.

The opposition shouted slogans for almost ten minutes and then boycotted the assembly proceedings and walked out. In the meanwhile, the governor asked them to stop the uproar and reminded the assembly that it was his constitutional duty.

George accompanied the opposition who walked out of the assembly. There has never been a more corrupt government like this before, he said and demanded the ouster of this government. He also alleged that the Governor is an agent of the BJP. When the opposition and P C George walked out of the assembly, the lone BJP MLA O Rajagopal stayed back.
