KASARGOD: The State Election Commission has said that it will seek a report on the incident in which a presiding officer, who was on duty in the local body elections, was threatened by local MLA K Kunhiraman.
Presiding officer Dr. KM Sreekumar had revealed on Facebook that he had been threatened by CPM activists for trying to prevent fraudulent voting and that K Kunhiraman MLA had threatened to chop off his leg if he did not comply. State Election Commissioner V Bhaskaran said that he received Sreekumar's complaint, while Kasargod district collector said he did not receive any complaint from Sreekumar. Meanwhile, K Kunhiraman MLA has denied Sreekumar's allegations.
