THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran CPM leader and former chief minister VS Achuthanandan will soon step down as the chief of administrative reforms commission, sources said. It is learnt that Achuthanandan has taken the decision due to health reasons. Achuthanandan has already vacated his official residence in Kowdiar and has moved to his house in Barton Hill.
Achuthanandan was made the chief of the administrative reforms commission in 2016. Sources close to VS said that he had decided to step down before the end of his five-year term.
The Administrative Reforms Commission has already submitted six reports to the government. The commission has two more reports to submit.
