THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has decided to reinstate 908 of the empanelled employees who were sacked from the KSRTC following a court order. Those who have been in service for ten consecutive years and have completed 240 duties in a year will be made permanent.

In addition to this, the K-Swift transport company will employ 2,400 people, with service for more than 5 years, on a contract basis. With this, 3308 out of 6561 sacked employees, will get jobs. Most of them are drivers and conductors. At the same time, a complaint has been lodged against the criteria adopted for granting permanent appointment.

The list of dismissed employees has been sent to the Chief Office by the depot heads. Appointments will be made after the list is subjected to scrutiny. There are currently 780 people on the list. Earlier, on the basis of a court order, the PSC had given appointment to those on the conductor rank list who received the advice memo.
