THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The assembly session scheduled till January 28 has been curtailed. The session will end on January 22. The decision to cut short was taken in the wake of the transmission of COVID. The resolution to remove Speaker will be discussed on January 21st.
The decision was that of the advisory board. The opposition had earlier alleged that the government’s move to shorten the session is for not discussing the resolution against the speaker. This is the third time in the history of the assembly that a resolution against the Speaker is being discussed.
The spread of the pandemic in the state is not falling and so the government had demanded to adjourn the assembly a week earlier. 5000 cases are presently being reported in Kerala every day.
