THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 3110 COVID-19 cases on Monday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 2730 persons developed the disease through contact including 295 cases without an identified source of infection. 45 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 40 health workers tested positive for the virus on Monday. 1 person, who recently returned from the UK, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 3922 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 63,346 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 20 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 3322.

In the last 24 hours, 35,281 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 8.81.
