PANDALAM: The procession carrying the Thiruvabharanam, sacred jewellery to be adored by Lord Ayyappa during the Makaravilakku ceremony, will commence from the Pandalam Valiyakoikkal Dharmasastha temple on Tuesday. The procession will reach Sabarimala at 6 pm on January 14th, the day of Makaravilakku. The procession will be organised in accordance with the COVID protocol.

In previous years, the sandalwood boxes carrying the Thiruvabharanam were moved from the palace to the temple at 4 am. However, as the temple and its surroundings are to be disinfected, the probes will leave for the temple at 11.45 am today.
