KOZHIKODE: Senior Congress leader and MP K Muraleedharan has said that the defeat in local body polls doesn’t indicate that state Congress is weak. While answering to questions of presspersons in Kozhikode he said the purity of the gold will increase in the upcoming local body polls. He also added that in the coming assembly polls he won’t go anywhere outside Vadakara for campaigning and he standby that decision.

“Everything on party reorganisation has been told in the party forums concerned. It is the leadership who have to take the final decision. The leadership bears the sole responsibility for poll defeats and victories. I am not ready to take up any new responsibilities. It is the party which should decide whether KPCC chief will contest in the polls or not? It is still unknown whether Mullapally has expressed interest to contest in the polls. If any party is to be inducted into the front, it could not be done without discussing with other constituent parties. No such discussions have taken place yet. In the local body polls, ties with RMP has benefitted UDF in Vadakara the front will decide what is to be done in Vadakara during assembly polls,” Muraleedharan said.
