KOLLAM: Former BJP Kottarakkara mandalam committee member and RSS Kottarakkara mandalam karyavahak Vishnu Vallam has joined DYFI. Vishnu became a member of the DYFI after ending a 21-year association with the Sangh Parivar.

Vishnu had also served as the Yuva Morcha mandalam president. DYFI district secretary SR Arunbabu received Vishnu to the Left youth organization at a function held at the Kottarakkara Abdul Majeed Memorial.

CPM state committee member B Raghavan, DYFI Neduvathur block secretary A Abhilash, block president J Anuroop, Kottarakkara block president Faisal Basheer, R Prashanth, Amish Babu, Ramkumar, N Nias and Gopikrishnan were present at the function.

Meanwhile, several BJP / Sangh Parivar supporters have come up posting offensive and derogatory remarks against Vishnu on his social media profile. Vishnu has now replaced his old profile picture with the image of revolutionary Che Guevara.
