THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a soldier was arrested in the incident where he attacked the police during vehicle inspection, his relatives staged a protest in front of the Poonthura police station. They alleged that the Poonthura police had registered a false case against Kelvin Wells, the soldier, and he was unjustly assaulted.

They then stopped the police vehicle which was taking the accused for a medical examination. A case has been registered against the soldier for assaulting an officer on duty and misbehaving with a police officer.

Soldier Kelvin Wills mistreated and harassed a female police officer who was conducting a search. Following this, more police officers arrived from Poonthura station after they informed.

During a dispute with them, the soldier attacked the police and broke the hand of an SI. Police then arrested soldier Kelvin Wills following injuries to two SIs. The SIs were attacked while trying to make an arrest.
