THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a recommendation to reprimand P C George MLA for his sleazy remarks against a nun. The assembly privileges and ethics committee recommended action against the MLA.

The complaint against P C George was tabled in the house as report number seven. The complaint against P C George was filed by some including women’s commission chairperson M C Josephine. The complaint alleged that the MLA insulted the nun, a sexual abuse victim. The ethics committee who examined the complaint asserted that his remarks had crossed the limits. The report produced after that recommended to reprimand the MLA.

The MLA insulted the nun who was sexually abused by Jalandhar Bishop. He insulted her after she lodged a complaint against the bishop. He later withdrew the statement against her. P C George said the words should not have been used against any women and regretted for using it. However, she said that his words were extremely insulting and would face him legally.
