THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a recent development, Women's Commission head MC Josephine has been accused of misbehaving with the relative of an 89-year-old woman who was attacked by her neighbour. 89-year-old Lakshmikutty, a native of Pathanamthitta Kottangal had filed a complaint before the Women's Commission informing that she was attacked by her drunk neighbour. Following this, the commission asked the complainant to come to Adoor for a hearing. Josephine allegedly verbally abused the complainant's relative when the latter contacted her to inquire about this.

MC Josephine allegedly said that the complaint should have been filed at the police station. She also questioned why an 89-year-old woman was filing a complaint before the Women's Commission. The relative said that the complaint was lodged before the Women's Commission as the police failed to take any action based on Lakshmikutty's complaint.
