THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Friday said that the resolution passed against the CAG in the Kerala Assembly was a move to undermine constitutional institutions. Accusing the state government of insulting the democracy through the resolution, Muraleedharan said that the government should clarify the basis on which the resolution was passed.
Muraleedharan wrote on his Facebook page that the state government was trying to show that it enjoys a power which it actually does not have. 'The democratic society of Kerala can recognize the government which has tarnished the very essence of federalism to cover up corruption. It would be good if the Chief Minister and his companions remember that Kerala is not an independent republic,' Muraleedharan wrote.
