CHENNAI: Police caught the theft gang who robbed the Muthoot branch in Hosur, Tamil Nadu by tracing the GPS signal which emanated from their bags. The burglars kept the robbed gold in a special bag which is usually used for carrying gold. The special investigation team which traced out the signal of the bag coming out from Anayikal in Karnataka sought the help of Karnataka police. After this, the police also got the signal that the vehicle of the thieves is moving to Hyderabad. The probe team with the help of Telangana police finally arrested the theft gang after a dramatic chase at Sansadpur in Hyderabad.

The police chief in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu has sent a special team to nab the theft gang. The team found out that the gold was taken away in special bags which have GPS facility. For external help, Karnataka police also joined with them. Police understood that the gang has been travelling with the change in signals. However, with the assistance of Telangana police, the thieves finally came to police net.

The gold stolen by them was fully recovered. The police also seized weapons such as guns from them. On Friday a six-member gun-wielding gang robbed Rs 25 lakh from Hosur Branch of Muthoot Finance. The accused will be taken to Hosur for collecting evidence after fulfilling the necessary procedures.
