IRINJALAKUDA: The court has ordered to pay compensation on the complaint of a woman, a native of Kandeshwaram in Irinjalakuda, that her husband and his relatives had grabbed crores of money from her in the name of many requirements. The Irinjalakuda Family Court said that she has the right to get Rs 424 gold ornaments, 2,97,86,000 given by her family. The court also ordered the man to pay a monthly maintenance allowance of Rs 70,000.
She filed a plea in the family court against her husband Dr Shreethu of Kottooli in Kozhikode, father-in-law Gopi, mother-in-law Mallika, brother-in-law Gopi and his wife Sreedevi. Shruthi, daughter of Janardhanan Nair of Kandeshwaram in Irinjalakuda got married to Dr Shreethu in 2012.
Her plea mentioned that he received an amount of Rs 1.11 crore from her family to get an admission for MD in NRI quota in Thrissur Medical College and also received crore for constructing a house and to buy a vehicle. She also asserted that she was subjected to severe physical and mental torture from her husband and in-laws. Meantime, her husband’s plea seeking the custody of their son has been rejected.
