Speaking out against the critics of his movie The Great Indian Kitchen, director Jeo Baby said all critics of his film are those who created a ruckus in the name of saving rituals. Some say that the film is meant to make fun of the Hindu community. In my film Kunjudaivam, Christianity is criticized. In an interview with Kaumudi TV, Jeo said that he is critical of what seems to be wrong in society.

‘All the reactions associated with the ritual are cheap. When the Supreme Court ruling on Sabarimala came, these are the people that created problems everywhere. I have nothing to say to them. They can continue the cheap show-off', he said.

So far, the only films released here are those that look from the man's side. It is deliberately made against men to show that it is a feminist film, Jeo added.

Those who ask if Suraj and Nimisha were given the same remuneration are either the ones who stepped out on the road and pelted stones for ritual protection or those who say 'One India One Pension'. Do they pay the same salary to the masons and engineers who come to build the house? The same goes for movies. I don't care to reveal how much was paid to Suraj and Nimisha. I will settle it between me, Suraj and Nimisha, the director said.
