THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary A. Vijayaraghavan on Sunday said that the government had decided to leave the solar rape case to the CBI as a natural justice for the victim. He also said that the move was not politically motivated.
According to Vijayaraghavan, the case was referred to the CBI on the basis of the complainant's request. "The government has done everything as per law. It recommended for CBI investigation as requested by the victim. This is a normal procedure to ensure justice for the victim. The same course of action was adopted in various other cases in the past," he said.
Meanwhile, Oommen Chandy told the media that he was ready to face any inquiry in the solar rape case. While claiming that the move to recommend the case to CBI was politically motivated, he added that he will not take any legal action against it.
