THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ponnani native Lafeer Muhammad, managing director of a college in Muscat, has revealed that Swapna Suresh had demanded a whopping salary of Rs 6 lakh per month when she attended a job interview in an IT company in Sharjah. Lafeer also told investigating officials that it was former principal secretary M Sivasankar who had recommended Swapna to the company. However, Swapna returned when the company made it clear that they could not accept her demand. Lafeer's statement was recorded by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Customs in connection with an attempt to give Swapna a job as per Sivasankar's instructions. In 2018, Swapna had attended a job interview in a company which was owned by Lafeer's friend Khalid, a native of Oman.

When Swapna reached the college to attend the interview, Sivasankar too reached there. Lafeer said that it was Dr. Kiran Radhakrishnan, dean of the college, who introduced him to Sivasankar. He told the investigating officials that the company decided not to give Swapna the job as she did not have necessary educational qualifications.
