THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday said that the Alappuzha bypass was delayed for three and a half years by the inactivity of the Left government. He demanded that the Pinarayi Vijayan government should apologize to the public in this regard.

"The project should have been completed by August 14, 2017. The UDF government left power in 2016 after completing all the formalities and completing 30 per cent of the work. The Left government, which had no plans of its own, failed even to complete the UDF's plans on time," Oommen Chandy said.
