NEW DELHI: The police have issued notices to protesting farmers asking them to vacate the strike venue in Ghazipur. A notice has been posted on the tent of farmer leader Rakesh Tikait asking the protesters to vacate before 11 pm. However, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha said that it will not be intimidated by the notices sent to its leaders by the police. It is learnt that the farmers are planning to bring more tractors to the Tikri border. However, the police are trying to prevent this by blocking traffic to Ghazipur.

Meanwhile, Police Special Cell has lodged an FIR under sections of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and sections of IPC dealing with sedition to investigate the violence at Red Fort in Delhi on January 26.
