Yash-starrer 'KGF', had created waves across the country upon its release. Since then, fans have been waiting for the second installment of the film to come out. The teaser of the sequel, which was released recently, also received widespread praise. Now, the makers have officially announced the release date of the film. The film will hit the theatres on July 16 this year.

'KGF 2' will be presented in Malayalam by Prithviraj Productions which is owned by actor Prithviraj. Directed by Prashant Neel, the film is co-written by Prashant Neel, Chandramouli M and Vinay Sivangi. Sanjay Dutt will be essaying the role of the main antagonist Adheera in the film.

The teaser of the film, which was released on January 7, received a record response on YouTube. The teaser has received over 16.4 crore views on YouTube so far.
