THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former chief minister V S Achuthanandan has resigned from the post of Administrative Commission’s chairman. The resignation letter was handed over to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Ahead of resigning from the post, the senior-most leader of CPM has vacated his official residence in Kowdiar. Later he shifted his stay to his own home in Barton hill.

The veteran communist leader has responded on his resignation via Facebook post. “Due to certain health complications, I am unable to continue in the chairman’s post of administrative reforms commission. Due to the bleeding in brain, I am unable to participate in meetings and organise talks due to strict directions of doctors. Therefore, I have informed the government that I will resign from the post as on 31-01-2021,” V S said in his Facebook post.
