THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC general secretary Jaison Joseph who has the charge of party’s mouthpiece has issued a clarification over the condolence controversy in Veekshanam daily. He said that until the end of Chennithala-led Aishwarya Kerala yatra, its advertisement will not be published on the last page of the daily and it will be given on other pages.

“The advertisement which came under the responsibility of Kasargod bureau has witnessed serious lapses from the part of related staff. Subsequent action will be taken against those responsible for this incident after hearing their clarification,” he said. He added that party insiders have also raised the doubt whether any media lobby was behind the incident which wished to defame Chennithala. He said Veekshanam management will take due action after a thorough probe.

“There is no doubt that left forces might hatch a plan to erode Chennithala’s reputation as he was a strong leader of the opposition in the past five years. It will be probed whether such forces are behind this incident. Kerala’s Congress leadership stands united in this issue,” he stated.
