THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State BJP chief K Surendran has said that the union budget will fasten the pedals of state’s development cycle. “The budget is a blessing for Kerala and it is helpful for the further growth and development of the state,” K Surendran said.

“The state has not received such generous support when it had eight union ministers. Thomas Issac and his team should evaluate the budget with an open mind. They should stop misleading the people about the Modi government and the state government should show the willingness to praise the central government. Thomas Issac should apologise,” he said.

The BJP chief said that Kerala is a failure in preventing the pandemic. More than half of the covid 19 patients in the country is from Kerala. The health minister must reveal the amount of money spent by the state and centre for pandemic prevention activities. Congress is acting as per the directions of Muslim League. UDF’s stand on Sabarimala issue is dubious and unreliable. It is only meant for misleading the devotees. It was Oommen Chandy who disrupted the Sabari tunnel project, therefore, he must apologise to the Ayappa devotees,” he added.
