salary-

Krishna Tirat, former minister in UPA cabinet had put forward the idea of husbands paying salary to their homemaker wives back in 2012. But nobody implemented it though it ignited ground for serious discussions on the issue in support and against it.

Last month the Supreme Court has also said that the value of work done by a homemaker is not less than the work done by her office going husband. Now, Aries group based in Sharjah has made this possible by deciding to pay salary for homemaker wives of employees.

Aries also pays a pension to the parents of its staff and now they have taken the revolutionary decision to pay salaries to the homemaker wives of their employees. The business group also made headlines last year by delivering gifts worth Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 crore to its employees based on their service tenure.

Due to the pandemic, most of the business organisations in the world were going through a severe financial crisis, whereas the group’s CEO and chairman Sohan Roy expressed satisfaction over their ability to overcome the pandemic-induced financial problems and being able to undertake such employee welfare measures along with usual salary hike.

Aries group have various business concerns in maritime consultancy, ship design, U T gauging survey of ships, rope access interior and aviation surveys. Along with this, the company has also made its presence in media, cinema production, event management, television and tourism. The group’s real assets are the employees who are working with the firm for decades. Nobody was fired and salary was delayed even during the pandemic period.
