NEW DELHI: Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that no state including Kerala has announced that COVID vaccine will be provided free of cost. In the first phase, the centre will provide the vaccine free of cost across the country, he said this while responding to the question of K Somaprasad in the Rajya Sabha.

The state government had announced that the vaccine would be given free of cost to all in Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a press conference said the vaccine would be given to the people of Kerala for free and that the government is not planning to charge from anyone.
