THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: What the UDF has done to protect the rituals of Sabarimala, asked senior BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan. The UDF and the LDF came together in the Sabarimala issue. Why did the UDF not bring a law in the assembly? Not a single activist of the UDF protested on Sabarimala issue. He was responding to the allegations of opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala that the BJP colluded with the LDF on Sabarimala issue.

Kummanam said that he will contest the assembly elections if the party demands. I don’t have the wish to contest polls and has not demanded it. But, if the party demands will contest polls then. He responded to the candidature controversies of former chief minister Oommen Chandy in Nemom. Not Oommen Chandy even if Pinarayi comes, the BJP will win in Nemom, he said.

There is no factionalism in the party. The party worked collectively in the local body elections. Kummanam said that wrong things are being circulated in such a way that there are problems.
