THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 6356 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 5817 persons developed the disease through contact including 413 cases without an identified source of infection. 84 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 42 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

6380 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 69,113 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 20 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 3796.
