KOTTAYAM: Former home minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan turned against the reference in the Justice Sivarajan Commission report that he had intervened in the solar case to save Oommen Chandy. He said the report contained only allegations against a minister.

Thiruvanchoor said that even if it is proved that Chandy is not involved in the solar case, the Left government pretends they are not convinced in it. Thiruvanchoor said the CPM secretariat stopped the siege after Pinarayi was convinced that the allegations were baseless.

Meantime, the recommendation for a CBI probe ahead of the assembly elections is politically motivated, Thiruvanchoor said in an interview to a media.
