THRISSUR: After a gap of ten months, party vice-president Shobha Surendran attended the party meeting. She came to attend the meet attended by BJP national chief J P Nadda in Thrissur. She told media that she has nothing more to say than what the national president said. Everyone wanted me to attend the meet, she added.
She refused to respond to the media and went straight to the venue. However, it is believed that Shobha attended the meet after warned by the central leadership. She is attending the meet after the leadership took a strict stand that she would no longer be in the party if not attended the meet.
According to party sources, C P Radhakrishnan, in charge of the organization, contacted Shobha on the phone and asked her to attend today's meeting. He warned her that if she did not attend the meeting, a decision would be taken to expel her from the party before 10 am tomorrow. Although Shobha sought permission to meet Nadda directly and convey things, there are indications that there are only a few chances for it.
