KOCHI: The state government opposed registering a case on Rs 100 crore scam in KSRTC. The managing director of KSRTC levelled a series of allegations against a section of corporation employees. The government opposed the plea requesting the court to direct for a case. The high court cannot ask to register a case. The Supreme Court orders have clarified it.

The petitioner can either lodge a complaint with the police or file a private lawsuit. The government argued that the plea does not exist legally. The plea will be considered again next week.

MD Biju Prabhakar's revelation of Rs 100 crore missing from KSRTC had stoked a big controversy. Jude Joseph, an employee of Vizhinjam Depot is the petitioner. The government will inform their stand on the plea today. Based on the findings of the audit, the petitioner demanded that all corruption involving top officials and employees of KSRTC should be exposed through investigation.
