THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan on Thursday accused the Congress of attempting to divide the people communally through its campaign rally. He also alleged that the BJP has also been using the same communal agenda. Lashing out at Congress leader K Sudhakaran, Vijayaraghavan said that his statement against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was extremely bad. He demanded that the Congress should clarify its position on the statement made by Sudhakaran, who is also a Member of Parliament.

"The Sabarimala issue is under the consideration of a larger bench of the Supreme Court. Decisions will be taken based on that verdict. However, Congress is saying that it would introduce a law on Sabarimala. If it had known about the Constitution, it would not have given such a statement," Vijayaraghavan said.
