THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 6102 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 5509 persons developed the disease through contact including 449 cases without an identified source of infection. 99 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 45 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.
6341 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 68,857 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 17 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 3813.
