THRISSUR: Former DGP Jacob Thomas joined BJP. He received the party membership from BJP National President JP Nadda. With this, the former police chief is now likely to contest the upcoming Assembly polls.

Jacob Thomas had earlier said that the state hasn't gained progress with the rule of LDF and UDF and they are just a continuation. He had further opined that NDA could therefore be given a chance in Kerala.
