MALAPPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has alleged that backdoor employment festival is going on in the state. Chenithala’s press-conference revealed the appointment of workers and relatives of important leaders to key posts in the government. “High court has nullified the appointment of A N Shamseer MLA’s wife in Kannur University. After that, they tried to get a job in Calicut university but it didn’t work out. The appointment of Koliakode Krishnan Nair’s nephew also held during this period,” he said.

“When the appointment of former MP T N Seema’s husband as C-DIT director set off a controversy, he resigned from the post. It was this government which appointed Manoj Kumar, an inexperienced advocate, as the chairman of child rights panel. Even the principal of Kerala Varma College resigned when Vijayaraghavan’s wife was appointed as the vice principal. The list is long as it includes brother in law of Kodiyeri, grandson of E K Nayanar, son of Aanathalavattom Anandan, son of Koliakode Krishnan Nair, Close relative of M M Lawrence and Varadarajan’s son. P K Sasi’s son’s appointment in KINFRA was an illegal one. Unqualified people are appointed in KINFRA via backdoor,” Chennithala added.

“CPM is making unilateral attacks on Muslim League. It was started by the chief minister. CPM is opposing League more fiercely than its opposition towards BJP. As they are aware that the government cannot campaign on its achievements made in the past five years. They are resorting to clear communal tactics,” the opposition leader stated. Chennithala has also added that CPM is a party which is ready to inflict any communal blow to get four votes.

He also added that the government has taken a dubious stand on Sabarimala issue and asked whether it has corrected its earlier stand. He also asked whether the government is still standing on the affidavit filed before the court on Sabarimala issue.
