PALAKKAD: Former MP MB Rajesh has said that the controversy over his wife’s appointment was based on the selfish movies of three individuals. “As elections are around the corner, the issue is being politically utilised by the opposition. The conspiracy was led by one of the subject experts. Others were also part of it,” he said.
“Through a third person, the complaint against Ninitha was sent to her and she was asked to withdraw from the interview otherwise, a campaign will be launched against her in media. Nobody has even heard of such activities before. Even before Ninitha taking part in the interview, an attempt was made to disqualify her. When that failed they made another case against her PhD. As that also failed, they have hatched the current plan,” he added.
Rajesh further said that the interview board members have also said that they won’t create any trouble if Ninitha doesn’t accept the job. But as things happened in the opposite direction now they are creating such malicious controversies. Either Ninitha should withdraw otherwise she will be insulted this was their stand. “Earlier she was confused over taking up the job as the university was 125 km away from home. However, when pressure and threat were imposed on her, she decided to take up the job,” he said. The former MP also added that personal issues are behind this controversy and not politics.
Meanwhile, the letter sent by subject experts to university citing that MB Rajesh’s wife does not have the required qualification was out. The letter has demanded to appoint qualified people instead of illegal appointments. The letter bore the signatures of three persons in the subject committee.
The letter says that Ninitha has earned the job surpassing two or more persons who have the required qualification. If the university wants to appoint people of its choice, then why it constituted a panel of subject experts.
The subject experts said that they sent the letter to fulfil their moral obligation and to freeze the appointment of Ninitha. The other job seekers in the rank list have decided to file a complaint before the governor.
