KOCHI: The Youth Congress, a youth wing of the Congress, has lodged a complaint against the inauguration of the headquarters of the actors' organization AMMA. During the inauguration ceremony of the building, the Youth Congress pointed out that the Covid protocols had been violated and this would lead to the spread of the disease.

The complaint was lodged with the Kochi DCP. The Youth Congress said in its complaint that more than 150 people had attended the inaugural function inside an air-conditioned hall and that the fact that the public had gathered outside the building, along with the actors would lead to the spread of the virus.

According to the complaint, a case should be registered against the star organization under the Epidemic Diseases Act. Mohanlal and Mammootty inaugurated the new building of AMMA at Kaloor, Ernakulam. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

The new building will have five glass chambers for the actors to come and listen to the script from writers and directors. Earlier, AMMA's general secretary Edavela Babu had said that models from New York and others would be tested here.
