THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While interacting with the students at the Senate Hall of the University of Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the procedures from college admission to the issuance of certificates will be implemented in a time-bound manner.

It is the right of the student to get the certificates on time. The change made by the government in the field of higher education will put an end to delays. Educational institutions need to mold the student community into research enthusiasts. The proposal to start co-ordinated courses, vocational courses and skill development programs on various subjects will be considered. Create centers of excellence in higher education and rank within the top ten nationally and within the top 100 internationally. Startups will also be strengthened.

The plan was for the students to work along with academics. This couldn't be implemented due to Covid. This can be done after the pandemic. Facilities are provided for the study of foreign languages ​​and training of languages ​​including English.

Responding to students' suggestions, the CM said that herbal research would be strengthened. Universities need high quality teachers and more staff, experts and scholars. The relationship between educational institutions and industry is also important. Courses need to be revised to suit industry. The CM also said that entrepreneurs would be included in the board of studies of universities.
