PALAKKAD: In a shocking incident, a woman killed her six-year-old son by slitting his neck. The woman has been identified as Shahida. The incident happened at Poolakad in the district Sunday morning at 4 am.

Shahida herself informed the incident to Janamaithri police after collecting the number from her neighbours. The Palakkad south police has taken her into custody. Her husband Sulaiman knew about the incident only after the police reached the spot.

She told police that that she got a call from God and so is sacrificing him. The couple has three children. She is three-months pregnant now.
