Shiyas Perumbavoor, coordinator of the programme rejected the allegations of actress Sunny Leone. He told a media that the actress was to appear in two programmes in Kerala but at the last minute withdrew from it.
Shiyaz said the reason for her statement that the organisers did not keep their words is not clear. A native of Vatakara, who spent money and due to the financial liability following the cancellation of the programme organised for 1.5 crore, had attempted suicide. A major tragedy was averted as her children saw it, he added.
‘I am also on the brink of suicide. We both are alive due to the anticipatory bail obtained from the high court. Though a complaint was lodged two years back, action was not taken. Although a notice was issued by the crime branch before COVID, she was not interrogated,’ he said.
The Kerala police did not register a case even after a complaint was given. The case was registered by the crime branch after visiting the DGP and the chief minister. He said the police were ready to record her statement after she arrived in Kerala a few days back. Sunny Leone was questioned by the crime branch the other day.
