KANNUR: Senior CPM leader and Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan who was under treatment for COVID-19 has been discharged from the hospital. He was discharged after he recuperated. He was undergoing treatment at Pariyaram Medical College after his condition turned worse. He will be in observation for a month at his house.

The doctors have advised him to continue in isolation as it will take time for his immune system to recover. He was admitted to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital on May 20 after suffering from severe pneumonia along with COVID.

His life was maintained with the help of a ventilator as the level of blood sugar rose. His condition gradually improved last week.
